How to achieve eugenics

Eugenics refers to the birth of healthy, intelligent, and high-quality offspring. Eugenics is generally divided into two types: "passive eugenics" and "active eugenics." The former, also known as negative eugenics or preventative eugenics, uses prenatal diagnosis, genetic counseling, and other methods to reduce the birth of children with hereditary diseases and lower the incidence of congenital malformations or hereditary diseases-essentially eliminating inferior traits, but not eradicating individuals with inferior genetic factors. The latter, also known as positive eugenics or evolutionary eugenics, uses artificial means to reduce or eliminate unfavorable genes and increase or transplant superior alleles to cultivate eugenic infants and increase the number of outstanding individuals-essentially expanding superior genetic factors. Although the terminology differs, the goal is the same: to eliminate inferior genetic factors, expand superior genetic factors, and improve the overall quality of humanity.

British scientist John Galton proposed the concept of "eugenics" in 1883. The Mawangdui silk manuscript *Tai Chan Fang* in my country discusses "internal manifestation of the child," representing the earliest origins of prenatal education and eugenics. The *Chu Shi Yi Shu* from the Northern and Southern Dynasties states, "Pregnancy leads to childbirth, and the child will be strong, healthy, and long-lived," implying eugenics. According to *A Brief History of China*, as early as the 12th century BC, my country advocated against marriage between people with the same surname, believing that "if a man and woman share the same surname, their offspring will not be able to thrive." This concept continued to develop throughout history.

Talent is the most valuable and decisive asset, relating to the rise and fall of a nation and the prosperity and demise of a people. Talent cultivation should begin with eugenics. Eugenics and proper upbringing benefit the country and its people.

(1) Selective marriage to prevent genetic diseases

Marriage compatibility is the first key to eugenics. Compatibility refers to the union of a man and a woman of similar age, not related by blood, and in good health.

Marry at the appropriate age; avoid early marriage.

Marriage between close relatives reduces the risk of disability. Marriage between men and women who share a common ancestor within three generations is considered consanguineous marriage. From a genetic perspective, "close relatives" refers to those with very close blood ties. The *Zuo Zhuan*, written during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, states: "If men and women share the same surname, their offspring will not flourish." "If palace officials do not share the same surname, their offspring will not reproduce; the best offspring will be exhausted first, and then diseases will arise." The *Guoyu* says: "Those with the same surname should not marry, for it is not worthwhile." my country's new Marriage Law of 1980 explicitly prohibits marriage between direct blood relatives and collateral blood relatives within three generations, which is scientifically sound.

Premarital medical examinations are recommended to ensure that any illnesses are cured before marriage. Premarital medical examinations can detect developmental defects in the reproductive organs or diseases that may hinder fertility. In particular, through premarital examinations and family investigations, genetic diseases or related problems can be identified. Currently, more than 3,000 diseases have been found to be related to genetics.

(2) Pay attention to avoiding sexual intercourse.

Unfavorable geographical conditions make it unsuitable for mating.

It is not advisable to have intercourse during unfavorable weather. When the adverse climate exceeds the body's self-regulating function, it causes an imbalance of Yin and Yang, resulting in disordered Qi and blood. This prevents the body from achieving harmony through spiritual connection, making one more susceptible to illness and affecting eugenics.

It is not advisable to have intercourse when in a bad mood. Modern research shows that intercourse when one is in a pleasant and cheerful mood is beneficial for eugenics. Clinical observations have revealed that couples who prioritize intercourse when in a good mood and have fulfilling sexual experiences tend to have more intelligent offspring, while the opposite is true.

Avoid sexual intercourse when intoxicated. Modern research has proven that the conclusion that "alcohol can impair sexual function and sperm quality" has scientific basis. Drinking alcohol, especially long-term drinking, can lower blood testosterone levels. Even for men who don't usually drink, a single instance of consuming strong liquor can cause a drop in testosterone levels, which may take up to 24 hours to return to normal. Clinical observations of azoospermia and teratospermia reveal that many patients have a history of alcohol consumption. If conception occurs after drinking alcohol, it greatly increases the risk of intellectual disability, birth defects, and stillbirth in the fetus. The fact that the descendants of famous ancient Chinese writers like Li Bai and Tao Yuanming often suffered from intellectual disabilities serves as evidence.

Smoking should be avoided during intercourse. Modern research shows that a single cigarette produces 2000ml of smoke containing nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, and other harmful substances. These substances not only harm human health but can also cause sexual dysfunction, sperm abnormalities, chromosomal abnormalities, and fetal developmental abnormalities. The greater the amount of smoking and the longer the duration of smoking, the higher the proportion of abnormal sperm in the semen and the higher the rate of birth defects in the fetus. Smoking during pregnancy can cause placental vascular spasms, fetal hypoxia leading to delayed brain development, poor physical condition, and congenital heart disease. Passive smoking is equally harmful. Therefore, quitting smoking is recommended for health and eugenics.

Those who are ill should not conceive. They should actively seek treatment and wait until they are fully recovered before trying to conceive, in order to ensure a healthy offspring.

Avoid sexual intercourse when overworked. Excessive daily work can damage blood and qi, thus affecting sperm production. Therefore, it's important to avoid overexertion to nourish sperm. Sufficient blood and abundant sperm create a favorable material foundation for optimal conception.

Anger should be avoided during intercourse. Anger is associated with the liver; excessive or frequent anger can cause the liver's fire element to flare up, leading to over-venting and impairing the kidneys' function of storing essence. Even without sexual intercourse, essence and blood are depleted. This deficiency can negatively impact fertility if conception occurs. Furthermore, anger can affect the onset of orgasm, further hindering healthy offspring. Excessive anger and emotional distress during pregnancy can negatively impact the physical and mental development of the fetus, also detrimental to healthy conception.

(3) Practice moderation in sexual activity and cherish your essence; avoid excessive sexual activity.

Practice moderation in sexual activity to conserve sperm quality, and have intercourse around ovulation. Frequent intercourse not only negatively impacts sperm quality but also reduces sexual pleasure, thus affecting healthy offspring. As the saying goes, "A short separation feels like a new marriage," appropriate moderation in sexual activity can enhance sperm quality and sexual pleasure, promoting healthy offspring.

(4) Sexual harmony

Playing games first can help you reach orgasm. When you reach orgasm, a series of changes occur in the vagina, which is conducive to conception and healthy offspring.
